A minor comprises a sequence of courses that focus on a particular area of study different from, and secondary to, the major. The Curriculum Committee requires that minors include 18-21 credits of required and elective courses that collectively provide coverage of, and understanding in, the subject area.
The American Studies Minor consists of two required courses and four electives from designated areas (18 credits).

Choose from the following areas:
Students must take one course from two areas and two courses in a third area. Courses connected to a student’s major (electives in the major beyond program requirements) may not count toward this minor. At least one course must be above the 200 level.
